Promote Team Fiji, Fiji's Permanent Secretary for Trade and Industry Shaheen Ali has urged business houses representing the country at next week's MSG Investment Roadshow and Trade Fair in Papua New Guinea.
In a briefing with participating businesses in Suva today, Ali said the three-day fair to start on November 27 in Port Moresby will be fruitful not just for the Fijian Government but especially for local businesses.
Investment Fiji chief executive Truman Bradley echoed the same sentiments, emphasising on giving a good impression and promoting Team Fiji with a view to increase exports.
"We'd want to see those numbers rise so we need your input," Bradley said.
Fiji will be represented by 25 participants from 20 companies at the 2014 MSG Investment Roadshow and Trade Fair in Papua New Guinea next week.
Items to be promoted in the Fijian booths during the three-day tradeshow are hardware, homefurnishing, construction, financial services, wholesale, retail and manufacturing.
The Fijian delegation will be led by Minister of Trade, Industry and Tourism Faiyaz Koya. The delegation departs the country on November 23 to allow government officials to attend the Trade Ministers and Officials meeting.
Ali mentioned the meeting, among other issues, will dwell on the review of the existing MSG Trade Agreement.
