FIJIAN-MADE buses are serving the Pacific at large and proudly displaying the Fijian-made logo, says Ministry of Industries and Trade permanent secretary Shaheen Ali.
During the PA Lal Group of Companies long service awards at the Vine Yard Palace Restaurant in Suva on Wednesday night, Mr Ali commended the company for its efforts to expand business beyond Fiji's borders and for flying the Fiji flag in regional markets by visibly displaying the Fijian-made logo on its buses.
"The Fijian-made brand is creating an image that is synonymous to quality and reliability, which is not just domestically, but regionally and internationally," Mr Ali said.
"In this regard, we commend PA Lal Group of Companies, which after serving the Fijian public for the past 46 years, has made decisive inroads into our regional markets.
"PA Lal Group has been a household name in the bus building industry since 1946. Over the years, the company has grown from strength to strength and more importantly has adapted and thrived in the face of competition.
"The company has been able to achieve growth and modernisation through the efforts of all local staff, local talent and home-grown skills and technology."
