The Library Services of Fiji, which is a department under the Ministry of Information, is the main organiser for the week long event which was launched in Suva by the Permanent Secretary for Information, National Archives & Library Services of Fiji, Ms Sharon-Smith Johns on the 16th July at the Library Services of Fiji complex at Nasese.

The closing of the National Library Week was an opportunity for the National Archives of Fiji to put up a 2 days Photograph Exhibition at the Western Regional Library in Lautoka. The Team was lead by the Director, Mr Misiwaini Qereqeretabua, including Mr Taito Raione (Conservation Section) and Mr Onisimo Volau (Archives Admin Section).

According to Mr Raione, the Photograph exhibition attracted a lot of attention from the crowd who were mainly school students, teachers and parents who were invited to be part of the closing ceremonies of the Week long event.
